An exceptionally well-preserved pair of Model 1570 lounge chairs designed by Karl Schrøder for Fritz Hansen in the 1930s. Retaining their original beech finish together with the original handwoven seagrass seats and backs, the chairs display a beautifully developed patina accumulated over nearly ninety years. Designed during the formative years of Danish Functionalism, Model 1570 combines a solid beech frame with handwoven seagrass seating.

In remarkably original condition, the frames are structurally sound and the original seagrass remains fully functional, exhibiting only minor wear consistent with age and careful use.
