Sorghelose, founded in 2018, is a unique atelier born out of the shared passions of Stef Renard and Nick Geboers. The name, derived from Middle Dutch, translates roughly to "carefree," encapsulating the spirit of pursuing one's passions and following creative instincts without restraint. Sorghelose's design philosophy blends elements of Scandinavian modernism and early modernist movements like Art Deco and Art Nouveau, with a particular focus on furniture and design objects from the early 20th century through the 1970s. As their appreciation for art and design grew, so too did their offerings, and today they feature a curated selection of furniture, applied arts, and fine arts. The atelier represents a space where creativity, craftsmanship, and a love for design converge, allowing Sorghelose to bring unique visions to life—whether it's through a custom piece of furniture, a curated art installation, or a rare vintage design object.
