Pair of black porcelain and brass 'Heiberg' table lamps, Denmark, 1930's
A stunning pair of very rare black porcelain Danish so-called Heiberg table lamps, made from black glazed porcelain and brass. Two identical lamps making a amazing pair of classic table lamps. Made from black glazed porcelain and accented with brass, these lamps are striking in their bold, yet elegant form. Both lamps are identical, making them a perfect pair that exudes balance and sophistication. Complete with new handmade Danish pleated chintz shades giving a very soft light and completing the sophisticated look. The model got its name from an 1870s oil painting by Wilhelm Marstrand portraying the Heiberg family gathered around a similar oil lamp. 
Wear consistent with age and use. In fair vintage and original condition with minor surface damages. Structurally fully sound but some hairline cracks are visible at the bottom rear of the lamps. Comes with new handmade Danish pleated chintz shades.
