A teak and oak coffee table by Folke Ohlsen for Bodafors, Sweden, 1964. The rectangular teak top has gently curved side edges. The unique solid oak frame has an elegant cross-braced base where the stretchers intersect in an X. The contrast between the warm teak surface and the lighter oak structure gives the table a calm, balanced presence. A beautifully made piece that captures the thoughtful craftsmanship and restrained character of Swedish modern design. Marked by maker on the bottom.
Wear consistent with age and use. One very small dark spot on table top.
