Øresund dining table in oak designed by Børge Mogensen, produced in the 1950s in Sweden by Karl Andersson & Söner. Truly elegant and functional design with wonderful detailed finishing in oak and brass. The Danish designer Børge Mogensen designed a whole series of furniture aptly named after the Øresund bridge which connects Denmark and Sweden; referring to the collaboration between the Danish designer and Swedish furniture maker.
Karl Andersson & Söner produced the Øresund series for Børge Mogensen between 1955 and 1967. This collaboration resulted in a collection that exemplified Mogensen's signature functional and minimalist design, deeply rooted in Scandinavian modernism, all crafted with a focus on durability and simplicity.
Very good and unrestored vintage condition, two scratches and two small indentations in the round tabletops (see photo number 3). Normal traces of use for 70 years of use.
HxWxD: 72cm x 130 x 130cm, two extension leaves measuring 43cm x 130cm each.
