Set of four J39 Dining Chairs by Børge Mogensen. Designed in 1947 by Børge Mogensen for FDB Møbler, Denmark. This set was produced in 1981 and is crafted in solid oak with papercord seats. The iconic J39, also known as the “People’s Chair,” exemplifies Mogensen’s dedication to functional craftsmanship and honest materials—combining Shaker-inspired simplicity with timeless Danish modern design. The chairs are in good vintage condition with light traces of use in accordance with the age of the chairs. All chairs have been freshly rewoven in our own workshop.
